Crimson Moon Price and Editions: Base, Deluxe, and DLC Explained
Crimson Moon costs $19.99 for the base game. The $9.99 Deluxe Edition Upgrade adds the Mahkten Armor Set, Axe of the Gods, and a post-launch expansion.
Crimson Moon costs $19.99 for the base game on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. There are two add-ons: a $9.99 Deluxe Edition Upgrade (cosmetics plus a future expansion) and a $9.99 soundtrack DLC. No edition has been announced above that — no season pass, no physical collector's edition, no subscription tier.
Base Game — $19.99
The full game at launch: the complete run loop through Gildenarch, solo or 2-player online co-op, the Savage Dead Gods as end targets, 30 Steam achievements on PC, and every gameplay system in our gameplay guide. Creator commentary around launch summed it up as "just 20 bucks" pricing — an intentional value positioning for a days-old indie release.
Deluxe Edition Upgrade — $9.99
The upgrade includes, per official material:
- The Mahkten Armor Set — an exclusive armor set
- The Axe of the Gods — officially described as "a guitar-shaped axe worthy of any legendary Nephilim"
- Access to the Post-Launch Content Expansion — officially noted as "currently in development," with the caveat that expansion content, features, and release timing have not been finalized and are subject to change
On Steam the upgrade is app 4984080, and the Crimson Moon Deluxe Edition bundle packages base game + upgrade in one purchase with a "Compare editions" table on the store page.
Crimson Moon Soundtrack — $9.99
The official soundtrack is a separate $9.99 DLC (app 4859730). It is purely the music — no gameplay content.
What to Buy?
If you are unsure, the base game at $19.99 is complete; the Deluxe upgrade only matters if you want the cosmetics day one or plan to ride the post-launch expansion. Everything gameplay-related — co-op, all Wards, the Dead Gods — is in the base package. Check the Steam guide for store details or system requirements before buying on PC.
